Aron Gooblar

Executive Vice President

   

With over 20 years of experience in real estate development, WSQ Executive Vice President Aron Gooblar specializes in navigating regulatory issues, coordinating and securing public approvals, and financial analysis.  Since 2006, he has used his expertise to serve WSQ’s public and private clients including overseeing the City Point project team, its development strategies, and asset management.  In addition, Mr. Gooblar is the project manager for 95-25 Queens Boulevard, an office building located in the heart of Rego Park, and a key team member of WSQ’s work for the Penn South (Mutual Redevelopment Houses) housing cooperative.  

Prior to WSQ, Mr. Gooblar worked for the New York City Department of Planning, overseeing the creation of land-use and area-wide studies, including the Downtown Flushing/Willets Point Plan. As Senior Project Manager at HDR, Inc., he facilitated public-private partnerships for notable projects including the Moynihan Station Development Corporation, Washington State Ferries, and various projects for the Town of North Hempstead, and Nassau County.  

Mr. Gooblar is a Full Member of the Urban Land Institute Full and chair of its national Urban Revitalization Product Council. In 2022, Mr. Gooblar was appointed to the Town of Maplewood, New Jersey Affordable Housing Board.
