Development advisory is the critical thinking which steers a project from conception through development to opening.  It is the cornerstone of our practice and includes a comprehensive suite of services including pre-development, building exceptional teams, and the long-term anchoring of projects with strategic leasing programs.  WSQ customizes our consultancy to a client’s needs with the option to hire us for large-scale developments or individual buildings. 

The WSQ team excels at analyzing complex real estate challenges, including repositioning strategies to modify a property’s primary use.  Our approach prioritizes resourceful, long-term plans and value even in the most challenging markets.  WSQ advises private developers, not-for-profit institutions, and governmental agencies in creating site plans, master plans, and area-wide plans.  A key component in this process is guiding clients to help them secure discretionary governmental approvals for their projects and creating the materials required to work constructively with agencies including the Department of City Planning, the New York Economic Development Corporation, the New York City Housing Preservation and Development Corporation, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, and the New York City Board of Standards and Appeals.  

The majority of WSQ projects include market analysis and financial feasibility.  These strategic services go hand-in-hand and WSQ has access to all the major data sources including CoStar, ESRI, and placer.ai.  Additionally, we take the time to walk our neighborhood and engage with key stakeholders to thoughtfully advise our clients.  

With its vast experience leading both the public and private sides of real estate development, WSQ brings a unique perspective to P3 projects.
