New York-Presbyterian Hospital Brooklyn Methodist Hospital

Brooklyn, New York / New York-Presbyterian Hospital

WSQ helped develop a new ambulatory care facility for New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Park Slope.  We assembled a team of zoning, land use, health care, architecture, design, traffic, and environmental experts to determine the most efficient building massing and traffic circulation to meet the client’s stringent standards.  WSQ presented its findings to stakeholders including the local community and elected officials. Based on feedback, the plans were revised, and the proposed development formed the basis for a zoning variance application to the Bureau of Standards and Appeals (BSA), and the Certificate of Need, which were approved in 2015 and 2016, respectively.  After three years of construction, the 300,000 ZFS ambulatory care building opened to fulfill crucial medical needs for the community.
